Leah is an attorney in our civil litigation, insurance defense, and insurance coverage defense practices. Her civil litigation practice focuses on defending both individuals and entities in personal injury defense, construction defect litigation, and medical malpractice defense. She also represents health care providers, including nurses, physicians, and behavioral healthcare providers before the State licensing boards.
Leah also has a robust insurance coverage defense practice and has successfully litigated coverage and bad faith cases in Montana and Federal Courts and on appeal. She was also recently recognized by Best Lawyers as “One to Watch” for her work in commercial litigation, insurance law, and medical malpractice law. Leah is admitted to practice in all Montana Courts, the United States District Court for the District of Montana, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Leah was born and raised in Whitefish, Montana. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston College with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. After her undergraduate studies, Leah returned to Montana to attend the University of Montana School of Law, where she graduated with High Honors (top 5% of class). While in law school, Leah was a two-year member of the Trial Team where she competed at the regional level. After completing law school, Leah clerked for the Honorable Justice Beth Baker at the Montana Supreme Court. She has since been in private practice with Garlington, Lohn, & Robinson.
Outside of work, Leah enjoys running ultra-marathons, skiing, camping, and spending time with her husband and young son.
