After returning to Connecticut and working at a law firm for a time, he moved to Montana in 2015 to work in Philipsburg, and from then on decided to make Montana his home. Britton went to law school at the University of Montana, during which time he worked at a local law firm, as a clinical intern with the Federal Defenders of Montana, and served as an Editor-in-Chief on the Montana Law Review. After graduating from law school in 2020, Britton clerked with the Montana Supreme Court for two years, exposing him to a wide range of legal issues. Britton joined Garlington, Lohn, and Robinson in 2022; in his current practice, he focuses primarily on civil litigation and insurance defense.
