- Arbitration and Mediation

Mediations, primarily in the form of settlement conferences, are an integral part of Montana litigation practice because federal and state district courts require mediation prior to setting a date for the trial. Several attorneys in our firm have developed extensive experience serving as mediators/settlement masters both in litigation and in informal, pre-litigation situations. These confidential proceedings are governed by statute and court rules, offer an alternate form of dispute resolution and allow for an independent evaluation of a case by experienced counsel.

Arbitration services are offered on an ad hoc basis by generally the same Garlington, Lohn & Robinson attorneys who have developed mediation skills.
