Ryan "Nick" Jones

Nick is a native Utahan and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Utah. After working for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Salt Lake for a few years, Nick attended the University of Montana School of Law where he earned a Juris Doctorate degree with Honors. While concurrently enrolled in law school, Nick completed substantial undergraduate work at the University of Montana's School of Business towards a Master's of Business Administration – he is currently working towards its completion. Subsequently, Nick received a merit based scholarship to study taxation at the University of Washington School of Law in Seattle, where he earned a Masters of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.). Upon graduation, Nick practiced with the Missoula, Montana firm of Bjornson Law Offices, P.C. before joining Garlington, Lohn & Robinson, PLLP in January of 2010.

Nick's practice focuses primarily on business planning, entity formation and transactions, partnership, limited liability company and corporate governance and law, the tax structuring of business formations and dispositions, tax disputes with the IRS, general tax issues, private placement and security issues, estate planning and estate tax planning issues, probate administration and avoidance, the creation and administration of trusts, asset protection planning, guardian and conservatorships, and real estate law and transactions. He is admitted to practice law in the state courts of Montana and Washington.

In his free time, Nick likes to go on frequent weekend road trips, enjoy Missoula's great downtown and many bike paths, and spend time with his long-time partner and wife Camille and their dog, Brynlee.
